Motorcycle Accident
Tuesday, Winfield had it’s first vehicular fatality since 2000. [story]
Winfield is a little shaken by it.
Some scuttlebutt (i.e. officially unverified rumors.)
– The deceased was driving 135 mph in a 55 mph zone.
– The deceased lay twitching in the back seat of the van for several minutes after the impact.
– The deceased was demonstrating some super-speed enhancement gizmo on the bike.
– The deceased was looking over his shoulder at his friend’s reaction. The deceased didn’t respond to the van until he hit it.
– The last words that the deceased said to his companion were, “watch this!” When I heard this, I waited for the punchline to some dreadful redneck joke. The punchline never came.
