Apple can bite my little green apples.
My R-2 unit had a bad motivator. (whine)
i.e. My iBook power adapter went bad. i.e. The cable that plugs into my laptop no longer carried power. e.g. The little light didn’t turn on.
The iBook comes with a 1 year warranty but only 3 months phone support. You can buy three years of warrenty and phone support for a boodle of extra money. They used to give away phone support.
Of course, used to be, everyone paid a bigger up-front fee for the free phone service. Now everyone gets less expensive machines but you have to pay extra for the convenience that you were just used to. But the irksome thing is that in all my years of Mac use I’ve never called them, and now they shaft me with their shafting ways.
Once apon a time Apple “picked up the tab” for service. They did their damnedest to make sure that they wouldn’t need to provide that service. That they wouldn’t have to pick up the tab.
Seems that their new and improved “you absorb the tab” philosophy may have produced a product that would result in more income from service than from product.
It seems to me the the evil empire, whose initials are M-icrosoft, has been offering an overtly crappy product for years. It seems to me that they are more interested in the swabbing-out-the-outhouse business than in the outhouse business.
Does Apple go over to the Dark side?
Does excessive hyperbole lead to athlete’s feet?
Does this blog entry need to be put out of it’s misery?
